A full trailer for the new Snake Eyes movie
dropped this morning, showcasing thrilling action and a compelling
origin story that stars Henry Golding as the mysterious commando of the
G.I. Joes. The highly anticipated Paramount film marks the beginning of
Snake Eyes’ journey.
He is one of the most popular members of the G.I. Joe's team. In the
late 2000s film series, Ray Park played the character in the 2009
live-action film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and its sequel G.I. Joe:
Retaliation in 2013. Snake Eyes first appeared in G.I. Joe: A Real
American Hero issue No. 1 (June 1982) from Marvel Comics.
Fans and viewers will watch Golding play a tough honorable character
being welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan and taught the way of the
ninja warrior. A shadow organization called Cobra Command soon threatens
the clan and the entire world, and Snake Eyes becomes a key figure in
combatting and toppling Cobra’s influence and power.
Snake Eyes also stars Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as The
Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Takehiro
Hira as Kenta, and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.
Robert Schwentke is the director of the film and Evan Spiliotopoulous, Anna Waterhouse, and Joe Shrapnel hail as writers. Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins arrives exclusively in theaters on July 23.
